Forgotten Florida : January 31 to February 1, 2026
Forgotten Florida is a set of trail races in Christmas, Florida, held over two days. Courses run through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, Little Big Econ State Forest and other rarely traveled trails. The route includes single track through palm groves and pine flatwoods, with sections that are described as runnable. There may be mud, grass, and roots on parts of the course; it is not presented as a swamp route.
The 100 and 50 mile courses are point-to-point. Both use mostly trail surface with about 2 miles of pavement; the 50-mile course equals the first 50 miles of the 100. The 100 mile then adds a 25-mile out-and-back segment with crew access for the final 50 miles. The 15 and 8 mile races are single loops and take place on the second day.
Cutoff times are published for each distance: 34 hours for the 100 mile, 16 hours for the 50 mile, 5 hours for the 15 mile with a roughly 3.25 hour cutoff near the mile 10 aid station, and 3 hours for the 8 mile.
Registered runners by December 15 are guaranteed certain items: 100 mile registrants receive a pint glass, hat, and a buckle upon finishing; 50 and 15 mile registrants receive a hat and finisher medal; 8 mile registrants receive a hat. The race donates a portion of proceeds to the Florida Trail Association and schedules trail workdays. Volunteer service can earn free race entries that are transferable.
