Forgotten Florida
Forgotten Florida is a trail running event held January 30 and 31, 2027, in Christmas, Florida. Distances offered include:
- 100 mile
- 50 mile
- 15 mile
- 8 mile
The course travels rarely used single track through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, Little Big Econ State Forest, and adjacent areas. The route includes runnable sections as well as varied terrain through palm groves and pine flatwoods. Runners should expect some mud, grass, and exposed roots in places; this is not presented as a swamp run.
The area supports diverse birdlife, and runners may observe species such as herons, cranes, bald eagles, and spoonbills. Course materials provided include maps, aid station breakdowns, and cutoff times for each distance. A runner handbook contains complete race information, rules, and frequently asked questions.
Volunteer opportunities are available, and volunteers are acknowledged with free entries. The event schedule spans two days and uses multiple trail systems to link segments across forested areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
