Course and conditions
The 100 and 50 mile courses are point-to-point. The 50 mile follows the first 50 miles of the 100. Both the 100 and 50 start together on Saturday and begin in Oviedo, running back toward Tosohatchee. About 80% of the 100/50 courses is trail, with roughly 2 miles of pavement. The 100 includes a 25 mile out-and-back section with crew access for the final 50 miles. The 15 and 8 mile races take place on Sunday as single loops. Trails include rarely traveled single-track through palm groves and pine flatwoods. Runners may encounter mud, grass, and roots, and are likely to see many bird species such as herons, cranes, bald eagles, and spoonbills. The organizer states the courses are not swamp runs.
