Event
Forgotten Florida is a trail running event organized by Run Bum Races in Christmas, Florida, on January 31 - February 1, 2026. Distances offered:
- 100 mile
- 50 mile
- 15 mile
- 8 mile
Course details and logistics
The courses run through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, Little Big Econ State Forest and nearby trails. The 100 and 50 mile courses are point-to-point; the 50 mile is the first 50 miles of the 100. The 100/50 courses are about 80% trail with roughly 2 miles of pavement, and the 100 includes a 25 mile out-and-back section with crew access for the final 50 miles. The 15 mile and 8 mile races are single loops held on the second day.
Cutoff times are published for each distance: 34 hours for the 100 mile, 16 hours for the 50 mile, 5 hours for the 15 mile (with a 3.25 hour cutoff at the mile 10 aid station), and 3 hours for the 8 mile. Maps, aid station breakdowns, and a runner handbook are provided. Wildlife on the routes includes many bird species; the terrain may include mud, grass, and roots, but it is not described as a swamp run.
Prizes and items: runners registered by the stated deadline are guaranteed certain swag by distance (for example, the 100 mile includes a pint glass, hat, and a buckle if finished; 50/15 include hat and finisher medal; 8 mile includes a hat). A portion of race proceeds is donated to the Florida Trail Association. Refund and transfer policies vary by distance and by timing of cancellation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
