Forgotten Florida - January 31 to February 1, 2026

Forgotten Florida is a multi-distance trail event in Christmas, Florida, featuring four distances: 100 mile, 50 mile, 15 mile, and 8 mile. The longer courses are point to point and largely single-track; the 100 and 50 mile routes share the same opening segment and run largely on trail with about two miles of pavement and roughly 80 percent trail surface. The 100 mile includes an additional 25 mile out-and-back section with crew access for the final 50 miles.

Courses traverse protected lands including Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, and Little Big Econ State Forest. The 15 mile and 8 mile races are single loops that take place on the second day. Trails may include mud, grass, and roots; the route is not described as a swamp run.

Wildlife viewing is common along the routes, especially a variety of birds such as herons, cranes, bald eagles, and spoonbills. Cutoff times are published for each distance: 34 hours for the 100 mile, 16 hours for the 50 mile, 5 hours for the 15 mile with a 3.25 hour checkpoint near mile 10, and 3 hours for the 8 mile.

Additional notes include finisher swag and awards for early registrants, a policy offering partial credit for cancellations made more than 90 days before the event and no refunds within 90 days, and contributions of race proceeds to the Florida Trail Association. Volunteer options include entry credits that are transferable between family members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
