Independence Double

Independence Double is a two-day running event at the Cady Way Trail Head in Winter Park, Florida, held June 26 and June 27, 2027. The event offers five distances each day and options to run the same distance on both days. There is a 9.5 hour time limit for long-distance events.

All courses are lap formats on primarily paved, urban run and bike trails that are fairly flat and offer some to a lot of shade. Courses are open to the public and may include other runners, walkers, and cyclists. Courses are not certified and are not Boston qualifier routes. Timing is manual rather than chip based; organizers provide published finish times based on hand timing.

The event is cupless. A table will be available for personal bottles and small paper cups will be on hand. The only aid station is at the start and finish area and is passed twice each lap. The aid station supplies chilled water, Gatorade, soda, and sweet and salty snacks. Ice and a bucket of ice water will be available for cooling.

Bathrooms are in a permanent structure a short walk from the start and are passed on each lap. A drop bag area will be provided near the start and finish. Finishers receive a simple finisher's medal. The organizer is Wingman Running Company.
