Flint Hills 50 and Marathon

The Flint Hills 50 and Marathon takes place near Manhattan, Kansas, with the Start/Finish at Green Valley Community Center (3770 Green Valley Rd). The event offers two race distances and looped courses through mostly dirt roads in the Flint Hills.

  • 50 miles: two 25 mile loops with five aid stations per loop
  • Marathon (26.2 miles): a 1.2 mile lead loop then a 25 mile loop with four aid stations

The course is run primarily on dirt roads and includes more than 2,000 feet of elevation change per loop. The 50 mile race uses the 25 mile loop twice. The marathon includes the shorter lead loop before the main loop.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at Manhattan Running Company (1129 Garden Way, Manhattan, KS 66502) and race day pickup is available at the Start/Finish at Green Valley Community Center. Registration closes on Tue, Apr 7 at 11:59 PM ET.

Finishers receive a race-branded belt buckle specifying their event. Winners receive a painted rock from the course, and runners who complete the race five times receive a painted rock listing completed years.
