Flag Rock 5K Trail Run

The Flag Rock 5K Trail Run is the fourth annual edition of a 5 kilometer trail race held within the City of Norton’s Flag Rock Recreation Area. The race route uses the Flag Rock Area Trails system, with the race start at the Norton Reservoir Trailhead. The event is part of the High Knob Outdoor Fest, a weeklong festival scheduled for Aug. 8 to 15, 2026 that offers outdoor trips, activities, and presentations focused on non motorized outdoor recreation in the High Knob Region.

Registration is available online and by mail. Registration fees are set at $20 through Aug. 11 and $25 for race day entries. All race proceeds support the High Knob Outdoor Fest and its programming to highlight regional outdoor recreation opportunities. The event is hosted by the High Knob Outdoor Fest, the High Knob Destination Center, and the City of Norton.

Awards are given to the top three men and the top three women. All participants receive a 2026 High Knob Outdoor Fest T shirt.
