Flag City Backyard Ultra, Findlay OH
The Flag City Backyard Ultra is a last-person-standing race held on the east side of Findlay Reservoir in Findlay, Ohio. Competitors run repeated 4.3 mile loops; each loop must be completed within an hour and runners continue until one person completes a loop alone. If no runner can complete one more loop than all others, there is no winner.
The event is self supported. Organizers do not provide food, drink, or supplies during the race, and personal aid is not allowed while on a loop except for restroom use and common aid stations. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are not permitted. Competitors must be in the starting corral at the start and slower runners must allow passes.
New for 2026 the event features professional timing, ankle and bib tags for tracking, live results online, and a full event stream. All entrants receive a technical shirt. Entry is $45 and increases to $55 on April 1. All entry fees are non refundable and non transferable; after expenses remaining funds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.
Parking is available on the grass at the base of the reservoir. Vehicles may drive to the top of the reservoir for drop off only. Camping with tents is allowed the night before; there will be porta-johns but no running water. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
