Flag City Backyard Ultra - Findlay, OH

Flag City Backyard Ultra is a Backyard Ultra event held on October 3, 2026 at Findlay Reservoir (East Side) in Findlay, Ohio. Competitors run repeated 4.3 mile loops around the reservoir; each loop must be completed within one hour. The race continues until one runner completes a loop alone; all others are recorded as DNF.

The course is flat with no elevation gain, no mud, and no roots. The route is a simple loop with no shortcuts and is described as straightforward to follow.

This is a self supported race. No food, drink, or supplies are provided during the race, and no artificial aids such as trekking poles are allowed. Competitors may leave the course only for restrooms during a loop. Common aid is permitted between loops. Runners receive a high quality technical shirt.

Logistics: parking is available on the grass at the base of the reservoir, and vehicles may drive to the top of the reservoir for drop off only. Camping is permitted the night before the race; porta-johns will be available but there is no running water.

New for 2026: professional timing, ankle and bib tags for tracking, live results online, and a full event stream. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable; after expenses, remaining funds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. The event is organized by Flag City Backyard Ultra LLC.
