Flag City Backyard Ultra

The Flag City Backyard Ultra is a last-person-standing race held at Findlay Reservoir (East Side) in Findlay, OH. Competitors run a repeated loop of 4.3 miles that must be completed within each hour. Each loop begins on the hour and continues until only one runner completes a loop alone; all others are recorded as DNF. The event is designated a Backyard Ultra Bronze Ticket event and the winner earns a Bronze Ticket invitation opportunity.

This race is self supported. No food, drink, or supplies are provided during the race; runners must carry or arrange their own aid. Personal aid is not allowed during a loop except for restroom use and common aid stations. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are not permitted. Slower runners must allow passes. All competitors receive an ankle tag and a bib tag for tracking, professional timing, live results online, and a live stream of the event.

Logistics note that parking is available on the grass at the base of the reservoir and vehicles may briefly drive to the top of the reservoir to drop off gear but cannot remain there. Camping is permitted the night before with porta-johns on site and no running water. All runners receive a technical shirt. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable; after expenses remaining funds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
