The Fineview Step Challenge is the 30th annual urban step and trail race organized by the Fineview Citizens Council in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It offers two courses: a 5-mile and a 2-mile route through Fineview’s hills, streets, and 12 public staircases, totaling over 1,600 steps. Participants ascend Pittsburgh’s steepest stair set (371 steps) on Rising Main Avenue, with breathtaking views along the way.
The race begins at Fineview Overlook on Catoma Street. Proceeds support community beautification, affordability, and events. Swag includes a custom long-sleeve tech shirt for early registrants.
In the 5-mile race, awards cover top overall male and female, non-binary, and a Fineview resident category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
