2026 East Coast Beast Coast

The East Coast Beast Coast is a trail running event held at Rockwood Park in Saint John, New Brunswick. The race takes place within Fisher Lakes and utilizes the park's extensive trail network, which is recognized as one of the largest municipal parks in North America. Participants compete on a beautiful loop consisting of single-track trails.

The event offers several registration options for runners:

  • 8 km trail race - A single loop course on trail terrain
  • Intro Group - Includes 8 weeks of progressive guided runs leading up to the race

Open registration for the event begins in the spring, with early bird pricing available for those who register in advance. All entry fees are inclusive of mandatory charges and include a 5 $ donation to charity, snacks, and race swag. There is no race day registration, and the organizers do not offer refunds or deferrals.

A specialized introductory program is available for those looking for guided preparation. This includes access to a training calendar via the Final Surge app, developed by an exercise physiologist. The training plan incorporates running, cross-training, strength work, and stretching. Participants who join the intro group receive automatic entry into the 8 km trail race.
