Rompin' Rockwood
Rompin' Rockwood is a trail running event held at Rockwood Park in Saint John. The event offers three main distances:
- 52 km
- 26 km
- 11 km
Courses use primarily technical single-track trails with some crushed gravel and very little pavement. There are no very long climbs, but the terrain is rarely flat and includes technical sections that require careful footing. The longest distance is run as a multi-lap option.
Race headquarters and the start/finish are at the old canteen by Fisher Lake, about 300 m from the Fisher Lake parking lot. The area includes a lake, a beach, lawn space, and a children's play area. Porta-potties are provided for participants.
Rompin' Rockwood is part of the ITRA National League and awards ITRA points for certain distances. The 2026 total prize purse was $5000. Route guides and downloadable GPS/turn files are provided for the courses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
