Bootstrap Boogie Trail Race
The event is the 6th annual Bootstrap Boogie, scheduled for October 31, 2026, at Irving Nature Park on the south coast of New Brunswick. The race passes along ocean-facing terrain and through several park ecosystems.
Distances offered:
- 9 km
- 17 km
Start and finish are at the Sheldon Point Trail parking lot/field. Routes use the Sheldon Point Trail, pass through a pit area, run along the beach and a dirt road to an Irving Nature Park aid station, then return along the dirt road and beach. The final 800 m are across a field back to the parking lot. The 17 km course includes a clockwise coastal loop around the park that features the boardwalk and the Frog Trail. The 17 km course was updated in 2023; the 9 km distance was introduced in 2024.
Aid station provisioning includes water and snacks. The 9 km course has one aid access near 4.5 km; the 17 km course has aid access at approximately 4.5 km and 12.5 km. Course records exist for both distances. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three men and the top three women. Irving Nature Park is a 600 acre site with 11 km of rugged coastline, a 300 meter boardwalk onto a marsh, and eight hiking trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
