Kennebec Savings Bank East Bayside Trail Fest

The Kennebec Savings Bank East Bayside Trail Fest is a community event held in Portland, Maine. Based in the East Bayside neighborhood at 38 Diamond Street, this festival brings together runners, cyclists, and walkers to support the local trail network. The event serves as a fundraiser for two local nonprofit organizations, Portland Trails and the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.

Participants can choose from three distinct activities that take place on the local trail system:

  • 10 km Trail to Ale: A timed trail race featuring views of Casco Bay, Back Cove, and the Portland skyline. This event includes awards for top finishers and age group winners.
  • 15 mile or 30 mile Bayside Ride: A non-competitive group bike ride passing through Portland, Falmouth, Cumberland, and Yarmouth. The routes include rest stops with refreshments, and both e-bikes and cyclists of all skill levels are welcome.
  • 2 mile Trail Mix: A non-timed fun run and walk designed for families and those new to trail activities. Strollers are permitted on this course.

Following the athletic events, a festival is held featuring live music, food trucks, and local beer. Participants in the 10 km run and the bike rides receive an event t-shirt and two drink tickets for the festival as part of their registration. Registration for the 2 mile walk focuses on participation and does not include these items, though a discount is available for groups of four or more.
