Dunns Ultra Marathon Badasses - D.U.M.B.
Dunns Ultra Marathon Badasses is a trail event organized by Sombrero Running at Dunns Creek State Park in Pomona Park, FL on November 7, 2026. The main course is an approximately 11.75 mile loop used by all distances except the 8k. The loop includes mixed terrain with compact grass, forest service roads, sand areas, some gradual inclines and declines, and roughly 300-350 feet of elevation gain and loss per loop. The route reaches the top of Mt. Maars near the 15k mark and finishes each loop with about 1.5 miles on an asphalt road back to runner's village. There are two shallow water crossings with foot bridges available.
Distances offered include:
- 100 mile
- 100k
- 100k ruck
- 35 mile
- 35 mile ruck
- 12 mile
- 12 mile ruck
- 8k

Cutoff times are published for each distance, for example 100 mile and 100k have a 36 hour cutoff and the 8k has a 3 hour cutoff. Pacers are allowed for the 100 mile and 100k after the third loop; runners aged 60 or older may have a pacer at any time. Pacers must sign a waiver.
Runner's village sits at the start/finish with large compact-grass parking where crews may set up tents or RVs. Friday night camping at the state park carries a $30 park fee. Park rules prohibit alcohol and govern use of heaters and open flames.
Two on-course aid stations are located near miles 1.5/3.5 and 8.5, stocked with a range of foods and drinks. A main aid and grilling station at runner's village will provide hot food from early morning into the evening and an overnight aid offering items such as soup, ramen, and coffee.
The event supports Sombrero Outreach Foundation and Friends of Dunns Creek State Park, both organized as 501c3 nonprofit groups. Refunds are not offered; with ample notice for illness or injury, entrants may be deferred to the following year or another Sombrero event of equal distance and pricing.
Swag includes custom buckles for the 100 mile and smaller buckles for the 100k, patches for ruck entrants, and finisher medals for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
