Door County Fall 50 - Solo Division
The 20th Annual Door County Fall 50 Solo division takes place on October 24, 2026. It is a point to point road ultramarathon of approximately 50 miles that runs through Door County, Wisconsin, from Gills Rock to Sturgeon Bay. Registration opens on April 1, 2026.
Solo runners may use a one way coach shuttle to the start for a fee of $15 with pickup at Sunset Park and Stone Harbor Resort. Drop bags are available and will be accessible at every aid station, including mile markers 5.4, 11.6, 18.8, 23.9, 28.9, 32.7, 36.8, 43.0, 46.0, and the finish. Drop bags can be left at packet pickup at Stone Harbor Resort on Friday or at the start on race morning; plastic bags will be provided.
The Solo event has a 12 hour time limit; this implies an average pace requirement of about 14 minutes 20 seconds per mile for the full distance. Runners must meet published cutoffs at Exchange 5 (mile 29) and Exchange 8 (mile 43). Aid stations provide water, sports drink, soda, fruit, bagels, cookies, energy bars and gels; Exchange 5 offers hot soup and sandwiches. Headlamps or flashlights are required early in the race and potentially for the final miles. Crew support is permitted only inside aid stations. Pacers are not allowed.
A heated Solo finisher tent with hot soup, changing rooms and seating is provided, and a party tent with food and beverages follows the finish. Solo finishers receive a medal and winter beanie. Awards are given to the top five men and top five women in Open and Masters divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
