The Door County Fall 50 is a point-to-point road ultra in Door County, Wisconsin, held on October 25, 2025. The solo division covers a 50-mile course that runs through fall foliage and several villages, from Gills Rock to Sturgeon Bay. The event also includes a relay division for teams.
Course and logistics
Solo runners may use a one-way coach shuttle to the start for a $15 fee; pickups are scheduled at Sunset Park and Stone Harbor Resort parking lot and the shuttle arrives at Gills Rock by 6:00 a.m. Drop bags are accepted at packet pickup or at the start and will be available at aid stations at miles 5.4, 11.6, 18.8, 23.9, 28.9, 32.7, 36.8, 43.0, 46.0 and the finish. Solo participants have 12 hours to complete the course, which implies an average pace of about 14:20 per mile for the 50.2-mile distance. Cutoffs require arrival at Exchange 5 (mile 29) by 1:25 p.m. and Exchange 8 (mile 43) by 4:45 p.m.
Support and rules
Each aid station has a dedicated solo tent with water, sports drink, Coke, fruit, bagels, cookies, candy, Clif Mini Bars and Hammer Gels. Exchange 5 offers a hot "Half Way Buffet" with soup or broth and PB&J. Headlamps or flashlights are required for the early portion of the race and recommended again near the end; a box to leave lights is provided at mile 5.4. Crew support is allowed only inside aid stations. Pacers are not permitted.
Finish, awards and amenities
Solo finishers receive a finisher medal and a winter beanie. A heated solo finisher tent with soup, snacks and changing rooms is provided at the finish, and a separate party tent offers pizza, beer, wine and soda. Awards are given to the top five men and top five women in Open (39 and under) and Masters (40 and over) divisions. Registration opens April 1, 2025 and closes October 19, 2025.
