DFW Burning Soles Trail Series Race 4

This event is one race in an eight week trail running series held at Northshore Trail, Northshore Park MADD Shelter in Flower Mound, Texas. The series offers chip timed races over two approximate distances:

  • 10K
  • 5K

Courses follow laps of Loop 5 with a short section of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache is provided. Trails are described as well marked and include singletrack sections. Races use mass starts with both distances on course simultaneously; 10K participants begin 45 minutes before 5K participants to create spacing.

Participants receive a single series bib at their first race and are expected to reuse that bib for subsequent events. Each weekly race awards the top three male and top three female finishers per distance and recognizes age group placings; at the end of the eight week series the top three in each division receive final series awards.

The schedule runs across two rounds in June through August with reserved rain dates for rescheduling. Registration includes tiered pricing by age and timing of registration, and all registrations are final with no refunds. Transfer requests are accepted; registrations affected by weather or trail closures are credited to the next week in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
