Denali135 - Paxson to Cantwell, Alaska
The Denali135 is a supported, point to point endurance race along the Denali Highway in Alaska. The event follows approximately 131 miles of the 135 mile Denali Highway between Paxson and Cantwell, with an approximate total elevation gain of 8,800 feet. One pacer at a time may accompany a runner; that pacer may also share crewing or driving duties for the support vehicle. The race uses several lodges and services along the route, including Maclaren River Lodge and Alpine Creek Lodge, and the final two miles into Cantwell are on pavement.
Entry is limited; applicants must meet qualifying requirements that include completing at least three ultrarunning events of 50 miles or more in the previous three years, with at least one race of 100 miles or longer. A maximum time of 48 hours is allotted to complete the course. There are no refunds; deferments may be made at the race director’s discretion.
