Delta Junction Barley Half Marathon

This event is a summer trail half marathon hosted by the Alaska Flour Company in Delta Junction. The race is open to participants aged 10 and older, and a youth discount is offered for those aged 19 and younger. Walkers are welcome and there is a time limit of 4.5 hours.

The 13.1-mile course starts near the Alaska Flour Company barley mill. It consists of a loop on gravel roads and dirt trails through agricultural lands, with no paved sections. The terrain is uneven and can be muddy in spots, with possible wind gusts. The course is described as relatively flat with a few minor hills and includes long straightaways. Runners pass by fields of barley and fireweed, with views of the mountains.

Professional chip timing is provided. Aid stations are located every few miles. All participants receive a T-shirt with entry. The top three male and female finishers receive trophies. The overall male and female champions also receive a gift certificate. Post-race festivities with food and beverages are held at the mill.
