Delirium Ultra
The Delirium Ultra is a timed ultrarunning event held on Lady's Island in Beaufort, South Carolina in October 2026. The course is a measured 1.65 mile loop on private property near Springfield Road, with a designated parking and staging area adjacent to the course. The event uses chip timing and requires visible bibs for accurate results. Live results are available.
Runners may enter one of three timed events:
- 6 hour race
- 12 hour race
- 24 hour race
A single aid station on the course provides water, Tailwind, soft drinks, fruit, sweet and salty snacks, Spring Nutrition products, hot foods through the night, and periodic hot meals. The event is cup free; runners must bring a reusable cup or handheld bottle. A limited edition Hydrapak Speedcup is distributed at packet pick up.
Camping and staging areas are available beside the course; crew areas begin setup on the Friday before the event. Limited camper access requires prior arrangement with the organizer. Night running in the 12 and 24 hour events requires personal lighting such as a headlamp. Packets and transponders are issued in person at packet pick up and on race morning; each runner must collect their own transponder.
Awards include finisher medals for each timed event, a buckle for 100 miles or more in the 24 hour race, and top three awards in each category. The event originated in 2011 and has been held at several Lowcountry locations before settling in Beaufort. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
