Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run
The event takes place in Beaufort, SC on a closed 1.65 mile loop of hard-packed trail that is shut off to traffic. The course is wooded and designed to showcase Lowcountry foliage and wildlife. Runners pass a single aid station at the completion of each lap.
Distances offered:
- 24 hours
- 12 hours
- 6 hours
This is a timed endurance event. Winners are the overall male and female in each allotted race, determined by the greatest number of miles logged. Runners must register and compete in the event they sign up for; no race day changes, cancellations, or transfers are allowed.
On-course amenities include a central aid station stocked with basic first aid and scheduled food offerings. Runners with specific nutrition needs are asked to bring their own supplies. A “Tent City” is set up directly on the course for gear and primitive camping; no open fires are permitted in Tent City. Staging and camping areas are located along both sides of the course near the aid station and start/finish and are limited in size.
Night running rules require participants in the 12 and 24 hour events to carry a headlamp or handheld light from dusk until dawn; spare batteries or backup lights are recommended. Bibs must be worn on the front and an ankle transponder must be worn for lap counting. Live results are provided as connection allows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
