Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run
Delirium Ultra is a timed trail running event in Beaufort, SC organized by Grounded Running. The event offers three time-based races on a closed 1.65 mile loop through wooded Lowcountry terrain. The course is a hard packed trail loop with a single aid station that runners pass each lap.
Camping and staging are available along the course. A "Tent City" is located on the course for easy access to gear and primitive camping is allowed from Friday through Sunday; no open fires are permitted in Tent City. Staging areas are available along both sides of the course, with a recommended maximum footprint of 12x12 feet and first-come access. Parking is adjacent to the start and finish area but does not provide direct crew access to the course. Camper parking is limited and requires a prior parking pass.
Race format, services, and rules are timed by chip system. Finishers of the timed events receive a 2026 Delirium Ultra finisher medal. Individual runners in the 24 hour race who complete 100 miles or more receive a belt buckle. Bibs must be worn on the front and ankle transponders must be worn for laps to count. The aid station provides basic first aid and a range of food items including soup, burgers, pizza, and a pancake breakfast. Runners in the 12 and 24 hour events must carry a headlamp or handheld light for night running; backup power is recommended. Racers must check in on Friday or early Saturday morning before the event. Registration closes October 9. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
