Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run
Delirium Ultra is a timed endurance event held in Beaufort, SC on October 24, 2026 and organized by Grounded Running. The event offers three race durations: 24 hour, 12 hour and 6 hour. The course is a closed 1.65 mile loop on hard packed trail in the Habersham Community. Runners pass a single aid station each lap.
Camping and staging are available along the course. A designated "Tent City" is located directly on the course for gear and primitive camping is allowed Friday through Sunday; no open fires are permitted in the Tent City. Parking is adjacent to the start and finish area and there is limited camper parking with a required pass obtained before the event. The parking area does not provide direct crew access to the course.
The event enforces equipment and entry rules: bibs must be worn on the front and an ankle transponder must be worn throughout the race or laps will not be counted. Night running rules require runners in the 12 and 24 hour races to carry a headlamp or handheld light from dusk until dawn; extra batteries or a backup light are recommended.
The overall male and female in each race are the runners who log the most miles. Finishers who complete the entire timed event receive a 2026 finishers medal. Runners in the 24 hour race who reach 100 miles receive a belt buckle. The aid station is stocked with basic first aid and event food offerings include soup, hamburgers, pizza and pancakes. Live results are provided as internet connection allows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
