Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run
Ridgeland, United States • 24 Oct 2026
Event Overview
The Delirium Ultra 24 Hour Run offers timed events of 6, 12, and 24 hours. The winner in each category is the overall male and female runner who logs the greatest number of miles within their allotted time. Participants must register for and compete in the specific event they sign up for; no race-day changes are allowed. Due to high demand and participant limits, no cancellations or transfers are permitted.
The Course
The event takes place in Beaufort, South Carolina. The course is a closed 1.65-mile loop on a hard-packed trail, shut off to all traffic. It is a wooded trail designed to showcase local foliage and wildlife. Runners pass a single aid station at the completion of each lap.
Logistics and Facilities
Parking is adjacent to the start/finish area. A designated "Tent City" staging area is set up directly on the course for easy gear access. Primitive camping is allowed from Friday to Sunday, with no open fires permitted. Staging spots, which should be no larger than 12x12 feet, can be reserved after a specific time on Friday. Bibs with chip timing must be worn visibly on the front of the body, and an ankle transponder is required for lap counting. Live results are available as internet connection allows.
Runners in the 12 and 24-hour events must have a headlamp or handheld light from dusk until dawn. Extra batteries or a backup light are recommended.
Aid Station
The aid station provides basic first aid supplies. A schedule of hot food is provided, including items like chicken noodle soup, hamburgers, pizza, and a pancake breakfast. Runners with special nutritional requirements are asked to bring their own items.
Awards
All runners who complete the entire timed event receive a finisher's medal. Runners in the 24-hour race who complete 100 miles or more receive a special belt buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
