Backyard Endurance Challenge

The Backyard Endurance Challenge takes place on May 16, 2026 at Parc régional de l’Île-Lebel in Repentigny. The event uses a Backyard format: all participants run the same 6.7 km loop each hour, with a collective start at the beginning of each hour. The day ends after a maximum of 12 laps or when only one runner remains.

The event emphasizes endurance, race strategy and management of rest periods between laps rather than timed performance. Registration is free with a suggested donation to the Fondation cancer du sein du Québec. A technical shirt is available for purchase and proceeds and donations are donated to the foundation. Registration is open until March 29 with a participant limit of 310; there is no on-site registration.

  • 6.7 km (1 lap)
  • 13.4 km (2 laps)
