The municipality of Canton de Gore organizes the Défi Coureur des Bois, a trail running event held at Parc Nature du Lac Beattie. The event takes place on August 22, 2026 and includes on site animation and exhibitors.

- 1 km for children under 12 years, adapted course, supervisors, participation medal.

- 20 km
The 3, 6, 10 and 20 km races follow trails through Parc Nature du Lac Beattie, located about one hour from Montreal. The 1 km children race is run independently of parents but with several supervisors; all child participants receive a participation medal.
Registration includes a bib with timing chip, a participant gift and a kit containing a small gift and refreshments. A podium with awards is scheduled for the first three places.
