Canadian Death Race
The Canadian Death Race is a multi-distance mountain event held in Grande Cache, AB on July 31-August 1, 2027. The event offers solo and team options across trail terrain in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

- 118 km ultra with relay options.
- 42 km Half Death Marathon.
- Relay entries to cover the ultra distance.
The 118 km course begins and ends on a 4200-foot plateau, passes over three mountain summits and includes a river crossing at Hell's Gate canyon where the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers meet. The course lists over 17,000 feet of elevation change; elevation gain/loss figures given are 5,181 m (ultra) and 2,132 m (marathon). Target durations noted are 24 hours for the ultra and 9.5 hours for the marathon.
Support and logistics details include:
- Aid stations are placed through each stage; at least one per stage with varying supplies.
- Runners may not cache gear at aid stations; support crews and relay teams cannot meet runners at aid stations.
- Solo competitors may use drop bags for transfer areas; drop bags must be submitted at event check-in.
- A support crew is not required but is recommended for solo runners.
