Dalesrunner 20

Low Row, United Kingdom • 28 Mar 2026

Event overview

DalesRunner 20 takes place on 28 March 2026 at Low Fremington Village Hall, Reeth, North Yorkshire. The route for 2026 is listed as 20 km. Entry is limited to 200 runners. Entry fees are £24 for UKA members and £26 for non-members. The organiser notes there are generous cutoffs and GPX and map files are available.

Course and logistics

The course is very hilly and mostly single track. It includes a very steep initial ascent, ridge running, and several technical descents that pass through mining hushes with loose rocks. Surfaces include grassy trods and hard-packed footpaths. The organiser recommends trail or fell shoes for good grip.

Course markings use orange barrier tape, orange pin flags and coloured arrow signs; critical turns and road crossings will be manned by marshals. Aid stations are described as fully stocked with water, Active Root, sweet and savoury food, electrolyte tablets, and options including vegan and gluten free. The event does not provide plastic cups at aid stations; a cup or soft flask is mandatory.

Mandatory kit includes taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a cup or soft flask, and a fully charged mobile phone. Parking is provided in a field just outside Reeth; this is a working field and may be muddy. Toilets are available at the village hall and portable toilets will be placed in the start field.
