Location and Course

The DalesRunner 20 trail running event takes place near Reeth in North Yorkshire, starting and registering at the Low Fremington Village Hall. The route of 18.3 km (11.4 miles) is considered an introduction to the DalesRunner Series. It is a very hilly course, mostly on single-track trails, featuring a very steep first ascent and technical descents, including one down historic hushes. The route is fully marked with barrier tape, pin flags, and signs.

Kit and Logistics

Participants must carry specific mandatory kit, including taped seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, an emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a cup or soft flask, and a fully charged mobile phone. Kit spot checks may be performed. A trail or fell shoe with good grip is recommended due to the course conditions.

On the Day

On race day, parking is available in a field near Reeth. Post-race, hot drinks and cake or flapjack are provided as part of the entry fee, with extra available for purchase.
