DalesRunner 20

DalesRunner 20 is a spring trail race near Reeth in North Yorkshire, taking place on 28 March 2026. The route runs on Reeth and Arkengarthdale Moor and is mainly single track with grassy trods, hard packed footpaths and some technical sections with loose rock and mining hushes.

The course is very hilly, includes a very steep initial ascent and several technical descents. Distance is given in event materials as around 18 to 20 km. The route is fully marked with orange tape, pin flags and coloured arrow signs; marshals are stationed at critical turns and road crossings. GPX and a PDF map are available for download.

Aid stations provide water, Active Root sports drink, sweet and savoury food and electrolyte tablets; plastic cups are not used so participants must carry a cup or soft flask. Organisers require mandatory kit which may be spot-checked; required items include taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, an emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a cup or soft flask and a fully charged mobile phone. Suggested additional items include a map, compass and whistle.

Entrant numbers are limited to 200. The entry fee structure includes a small donation to the National Park and finishers receive a hot or cold drink and cake as part of the entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
