Dalesrunner 20

Low Row, United Kingdom • 28 Mar 2026

Event

DalesRunner 20 takes place on 28 March 2026 in Reeth, North Yorkshire, with the event base at Low Fremington Village Hall. The route is around 20 km and the organiser limits entries to 200 runners. The published entry fees are £24 for affiliated/UKA members and £26 for unaffiliated entrants; these prices include a £1 donation to the local National Park. The organiser provides downloadable GPX and PDF maps of the route.

Course and logistics

The course is very hilly and mainly single track, with a very steep initial ascent, ridge running, and several technical descents including sections through mining hushes with loose rock. Underfoot surfaces include grassy trods and hard packed footpaths. Trail or fell shoes with good grip are recommended. The route is fully marked with orange barrier tape, orange pin flags and coloured arrow signs; marshals will staff critical turns. Aid stations carry water, Active Root nutrition, sweet and savoury food, a small supply of electrolyte tablets and offer vegan and gluten free options; no single-use plastic cups are provided, so runners should bring a soft flask, bladder or collapsible cup. Parking is provided in a nearby field which may be muddy. Registration and some toilets are at the village hall and additional portable toilets will be at the start. Mandatory kit includes taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a cup or soft flask, and a fully charged mobile phone; kit checks may be carried out and missing mandatory kit can lead to disqualification.
