DalesRunner 20 : Reeth, North Yorkshire

DalesRunner 20 takes place on 28 March 2026 with the event base at Low Fremington Village Hall, Reeth, North Yorkshire. The event is part of the DalesRunner series and has an entrant limit of 200. There is an age restriction of 18+ to enter. Entry fees include a £1 donation to the local National Park.

Course and race logistics

The course is a hilly, mostly single-track route with a very steep first ascent, ridge running and several technical descents, including sections through mining hushes with loose rocks. Surfaces include grassy trods and hard-packed footpaths. The organiser recommends trail or fell shoes for grip. The route will be waymarked with orange barrier tape, orange pin flags and coloured arrow signs; marshals will staff critical turns and road crossings.

Aid stations are stocked with water, Active Root sports drink, sweet and savoury food, and a small supply of electrolyte tablets; vegan and gluten-free options are available. The event does not provide disposable plastic cups at aid stations, so runners must carry a cup, soft flask or similar. Parking is provided in a nearby working field that may be muddy.

Mandatory kit includes taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, an emergency blanket or bivvy bag, a cup or soft flask, and a fully charged mobile phone. Organisers may perform kit checks and will disqualify runners who do not carry mandatory items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
