Cupid's Gauntlet is a trail race held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Dana Peak Park on the north shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake in Harker Heights, Texas. Distances offered include:

  • 60K
  • Marathon
  • Half Marathon
  • 10K

The course follows trails around the lake with rocky, ascending and descending terrain. Much of the trail is tree covered, with some exposed sections. The route climbs several peaks along the shore and includes lake views. All runners must carry a hydration device, such as a water bottle or hydration bladder. The cutoff time for the 60K is 14 hours.

Logistics and policies

The park is closed for the season but is opened for runners and volunteers. Park entry is $5 per car; primitive car and tent camping is allowed. Volunteers earn race credits for future Blaze Trails Running events; a family member who volunteers may transfer their credits to a runner. Registration closes Saturday, February 21 at 11:59 PM CT. Cancellation policy: more than 30 days before race day yields 100% race credit; between 30 days and two weeks yields 50% race credit; no refunds or transfers are allowed less than two weeks before race day.
