Cupid's Gauntlet

Event overview

Cupid's Gauntlet is a trail race held at Dana Peak Park on the north shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake in Harker Heights, Texas. The event offers the following distances:

• 60K
• Marathon
• Half Marathon
• 10K

The trails include rocky ascents and descents along the lake shore, with sections in trees and some exposed areas. Runners will climb several peaks along the shore and pass lake viewpoints.

Logistics and policies

All participants must carry a hydration device such as a water bottle or hydration bladder. The cutoff for the 60K is 14 hours. The park is closed for the season but will be opened for runners and volunteers; park entry is $5 per car. Primitive car and tent camping is allowed.

Volunteers earn race credits that can be used for future Blaze Trails events and can be transferred from a volunteering family member to a runner. Registration closes on Saturday, Feb 21 at 11:59 PM CT. Cancellation policy: cancellations more than 30 days before race day receive 100% race credit; cancellations between 30 days and two weeks before race day receive 50% race credit; no refunds or transfers are allowed less than two weeks before race day.
