Cupid's Gauntlet

Event overview

Cupid’s Gauntlet is a trail running event at Dana Peak Park on the north shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake in Harker Heights, Texas. Race distances offered:

• 60K
• Marathon
• Half Marathon
• 10K

The course uses the park trail system and follows routes with significant climb. Trails ascend and descend rocky terrain along the lake shore. Much of the course runs through tree cover with some exposed sections and several climbs to peaks that provide views of the lake. The 60K field has a cutoff of 14 hours. All runners must carry a hydration device such as a water bottle or hydration bladder.

Venue and policies

The park is closed for the season but is opened for runners and volunteers for this event. Entry to the park is $5 per car. Car and tent camping is allowed on a primitive basis. The event organizer operates a volunteer program that awards race credits for future events; volunteer credits may be transferred under the organizer’s policy.

Registration for the event closes on Saturday, Feb 21 at 11:59 PM CT. Cancellation policy: cancellations more than 30 days before race day receive 100% race credit; cancellations between 30 and 14 days before race day receive 50% race credit; no refunds or transfers are allowed within two weeks of race day.
