Crown Of The Crest

Event Details

Crown of the Crest is an ultrarunning and trail event organized by the Greater Omaha Area Trail Runnerz (GOATz). The event takes place at Calvin Crest in Fremont, Nebraska. The races offered are the Lucky 13-hour event, a 100-mile race, a Double Crown challenge, a 26.2-mile marathon, and a Crown Half Marathon.

Course Information

The course is a single-track loop located on the bluffs of the Platte River. The distance is approximately 10 miles per loop. The terrain includes switchbacks, roots, and technical sections. There is an estimated 900 feet of elevation gain per loop. The trail runs through a bluff on the Platte River.

Rules and Logistics

The event includes a mandatory prerace briefing before each start. A fully stocked aid station is located at the Start/Finish, and there is an unmanned water stop on the course. Drop bags are permitted. The 100-mile race has a 32-hour time limit. Pacers are allowed after 50 miles for the 100-mile race and after sunrise for the Lucky 13 event.
