Crown of the Crest

The Greater Omaha Area Trail Runnerz present Crown of the Crest at Calvin Crest in Fremont, Nebraska. The event uses a single track loop on the bluffs of the Platte River that measures approximately 12.5 to 13.1 miles per lap with an estimated 1500 feet of elevation gain per loop.

  • Lucky 13 timed 13 hour event, complete as many loops as possible

The trail begins at the top of the bluff and descends into a central spine of cedars, then climbs again. The course features steep climbs, switchbacks, exposed roots, and some technical sections. Runners pass a fully stocked and manned aid station at the Start/Finish and encounter additional on course support that is passed twice each lap. Drop bags are allowed. Swag and awards are provided for participants.

Race rules specify that Calvin Crest is an alcohol free facility and smoking is not allowed on site; anyone found with alcohol may be removed from the event and disqualified.
