Crater Crawl

Crater Crawl, held on Main Cinder Butte Road in Mountain Home, Idaho, offers two race distances: a challenging 6.2-mile loop around two adjacent, symmetrical volcanic pit craters known as Crater Rings, and a 2.9-mile out-and-back option with views of the east crater. Located about 8 miles northwest of Mountain Home, the course passes a National Natural Landmark and features several volcanic pits. Participants will run or hike the longer loop, while the shorter course gives a glimpse of the craters without the full circuit. The event promotes low-impact, non-motorized outdoor recreation and raises funds for Idaho Outdoor Association projects. More details at cratercrawl.org.
