Costumed Creature Crawl 5K Trail Run/Walk

This event takes place in person and virtually on October 31, 2026 at the Van Scott Nature Reserve of the Delaware Highlands Conservancy in Beach Lake, Pennsylvania. It is organized to raise awareness for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and to provide a community opportunity to remember and honor children who have died.

Distances and participation options:

• Adult 5K (3.1 Miles)
• Ages 6 to 15 5K (3.1 Miles)
• Crawlers age 0 to 5 may crawl, walk, or run any distance
• Virtual Adult 5K (3.1 Miles)
• Virtual Ages 6 to 15 5K (3.1 Miles)

Along the 5K route, water stations and first aid will be available. Reusable water bottles are encouraged. Dogs are not permitted on the trails. Trails are not stroller friendly; baby or hiking carriers are recommended. Costumes should avoid scary masks and weapons to keep the event family and trail friendly.

A costume contest will award medals in categories such as Funniest, Cutest, Most Creative, Most Adorable Duo, and Best DIY Costume; registered participants in the 5K Trail Run/Walk or the Meditation Walk/Story Walk are eligible. Additional on-site activities include music, a nature scavenger hunt, a mindfulness walk with stations, a story walk, a crafts table, and light refreshments. T-shirts and medals are available for the first 50 runners and walkers; registrations recorded by September 15, 2026 are used for guaranteed sizing.
