Conquer the Wall Endurance Challenge
Conquer the Wall is a timed endurance event held on March 12, 2027 at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Williamson, WV. The course is a flat, paved 2.05 mile loop along the West Williamson flood wall and the college campus. The event is limited to 250 participants.
Race options include:
- 47hr solo and team events
- 35hr solo and team events
- Team relay entries for teams of two or three
Timing uses ankle bracelet tracking. Participants must wear the ankle bracelet on the right leg and are advised to wear it over clothing for accurate lap counting. Laps are recorded when crossing the timing mat; relay team members exchange the ankle bracelet to transfer laps to the team total. At 50 miles, participants may change direction of the loop after crossing the timing mat.
Food and hydration are provided at the aid station, including water, Gatorade, pickle juice, pedialyte, breakfast items, hot meals, snacks, and vegan options. Camping space and a limited number of indoor cots are available on campus for an additional fee. Volunteers work in roughly four hour shifts and receive a long sleeve volunteer shirt.
The course is open to local traffic; participants should be cautious and courteous. The course is not certified. Live lap results will be available on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
