Event overview

Conquer The Summit is a community running event held each March in the Adelaide Hills at Mt Barker. The event was first held in 2012 and raises funds for Operation Flinders and other charities that support local youth. It is a major fundraiser for Mt Barker Lions and Rotary Clubs.

Conquer The Summit 2026 will be held on Sunday, 22 March 2026. The event includes multiple distance options and a timed and untimed program for different age groups.

Distances and course

Distances offered include:

  • 21.1 km half-marathon
  • 10.55 km quarter-marathon
  • 5 km run
  • Kids' Dash - untimed two-lap dash for under 12s

The event begins at the Summit Sport and Recreation Park and runs through surrounding rural areas. The course follows a combination of roadside, fire track, vineyard and trail to the top of Mt Barker Summit.

Entries, bib collection and volunteers

Registrations open on 1 November 2025. Online registrations close on Sunday 15 March 2026. Registering by 1 March 2026 secures a name on the race bib; registering by 31 December 2025 enters a draw for a voucher. Late registrations are accepted at the bib collection points.

Bib collection and late registration are scheduled on 19, 20 and 21 March 2026 at local collection points in Prospect and Mt Barker and at The Athlete's Foot Mt Barker.
