Comite River Run

The Comite River Run is an annual event organized by BREC, reaching its 6th edition. The run takes place at the Comite River Conservation Area located on Hooper Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Participants navigate a course that moves through forest areas and runs alongside the river.

The event features a single primary distance:

The course is designed for participants aged 8 and older. Runners who finish the loop receive a finisher medal. Competitive recognition is provided for the top three performers in both the Men's and Women's divisions.

Following the completion of the activity, a lunch is provided for the participants. In the event of inclement weather, a designated rainout date is scheduled for one week following the original date. Registration is required and can be completed either online or in person for a fee of $25. Volunteer opportunities are also available for this community event.
