Cloudland Canyon Trail Races take place December 6-7, 2025 at Cloudland Canyon State Park in Rising Fawn, Georgia. All races start and finish at the park entrance on 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Rd. The event is presented by Run Bum Races and contributes money to Cloudland Canyon State Park / Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park. Entry registration closes on December 6, 2025.
Distances, course and policies
- 50 Mile - up to 15.5 hours cutoff, up to 7,500 ft gain.
- 50K - 11 hours cutoff, 4,500 ft gain.
- 25K - 5.5 hours cutoff, up to 2,900 ft gain.
- 5 Miler - 1.5 hours cutoff, about 500-800 ft gain.
Courses start and finish at the state park. The 50K uses a 14-mile loop plus a lollipop section; the 50 Mile adds another lollipop to that course. The 25K is a shorter version with the same canyon descent and climb. The 5 Miler is a lollipop route with roughly 500-800 ft of gain. Trails include rolling hills, several climbs of about 200-500 ft, and a descent to the canyon bottom. The route passes waterfalls and open valley views.
All entrants receive a pint glass and a beanie or hat; 50 Mile, 50K and 25K finishers receive a medal. To guarantee swag or medal, register by November 1. Refund policy: outside 90 days a 50% credit toward another Run Bum race (minus fees); within 90 days there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
