Cloudland Canyon Trail Races : December 6-7, 2025
The event is organized by Run Bum Races and takes place at Cloudland Canyon State Park, 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Rd, Rising Fawn, GA 30738. Races are held across two days: the 50 mile and 50K on Saturday, and the 25K and 5 mile on Sunday. The races contribute funds to Cloudland Canyon State Park / Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park.
Distances, course and logistics
- 50 Mile - about 6500 ft gain, 15.5 hour cutoff
- 50K - about 4500 ft gain, 11 hour cutoff
- 25K - about 2200 ft gain, 5.5 hour cutoff
- 5 Mile - about 500 ft gain, 1.5 hour cutoff
The 50K uses a single 14 loop plus a lollipop; the 50 mile uses the 50K course with an additional lollipop. The 25K and the half-marathon-style route are lollipop formats. The 50K and 50 mile include rolling hills with some climbs of roughly 200-500 ft and sections that descend to the canyon bottom and return. The 5 mile course is a lollipop with uphill sections and listed elevation gain.
Maps, aid station breakdowns, cutoff times and a runner handbook are provided for participants. All runners receive a pint glass and a beanie or hat; 50 mile, 50K and 25K finishers receive medals. To guarantee swag, registration must be completed by November 1. The refund policy: outside 90 days a 50% credit toward another Run Bum race minus fees; within 90 days no refunds, transfers or deferments. Volunteers can earn a free race entry.
