The Cloudland Canyon Trail Races take place December 5-6, 2026 at Cloudland Canyon State Park, 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Rd, Rising Fawn, GA. Distances offered:

The event contributes money to Cloudland Canyon State Park / Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park. All registered runners receive a pint glass and a beanie or hat. Runners in the 50 Mile, 50K and 25K receive a finisher medal.

Course and cutoffs

Courses use loop and lollipop formats. The 50K is a single 14-loop plus a lollipop; the 50 Mile adds another lollipop to the 50K course; the 25K is a shorter version of the same terrain. Terrain is mainly rolling hills with some climbs of about 200-500 ft and a plunge down to the canyon bottom and back. Approximate elevation gain by distance: 50 Mile - 7500 ft; 50K - 4500 ft; 25K - 2900 ft; 5 Miler - 500 ft. Cutoff times: 50 Mile - 15.5 hours; 50K - 11 hours; 25K - 5.5 hours; 5 Miler - 1.5 hours.

Registration and policies

Registration closes December 4, 2026. To be guaranteed swag and medal, registration must be completed by November 1. Refund policy: outside 90 days before the event a 50% credit toward another Run Bum race is offered minus fees; credits must be used within one year. Take on the Rabid Raccoon 25K, a scenic trail run atop Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga winding counter clockwise across rugged singletrack. All finishers earn a campfire mug and proceeds benefit SORBA Chattanooga.

Join a 2 to 3 mile fun run at Lula Lake Preserve followed by the annual polar plunge to fund stewardship of 4,000 acres and the Rock Creek watershed. Only this day can the public swim in Lula Lake and proceeds fund trails and habitat care.

Take on a scenic one loop 50K through Enterprise South Nature Park in Chattanooga, featuring rolling single track, wooded trails and unique park landmarks. Expect varied terrain and a rewarding finish in February.

River to Clouds Trail Run in Chattanooga pairs scenic trail races with a lively whiskey festival and live music, creating a finish line party. The event has been postponed to 2027, with big prize purses for the longest races.
