Cloudland Canyon Trail Races

The Cloudland Canyon Trail Races by Run Bum Races take place December 6-7, 2025 at Cloudland Canyon State Park, 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Rd, Rising Fawn, GA. All races start and finish inside the state park. The 50 Miler and 50K are held on Saturday; the 25K and 5 Miler are held on Sunday.

Distances, course, and logistics

  • 50 M - about 6500 ft gain, 15.5 hour cutoff
  • 50K - about 4500 ft gain, 11 hour cutoff
  • 25K - about 2200 ft gain, 5.5 hour cutoff
  • 5 M - about 500 ft gain, 1.5 hour cutoff

The courses use loop and lollipop formats. The 50K is a single 14 loop plus a lollipop; the 50 M follows the 50K course with an additional lollipop. Routes include rolling hills, several climbs of roughly 200-500 ft, and descents to the bottom of the canyon. The course passes waterfalls and open valley views.

All runners receive a pint glass and a beanie or hat; 50 M, 50K, and 25K finishers receive a medal. To be guaranteed swag and a medal, registration must be completed by November 1. Refund policy: outside 90 days before the event a 50% credit toward another Run Bum race is offered minus fees; credits expire after one year.
