Cloudland Canyon Trail Races

The event offers trail races at Cloudland Canyon State Park in Rising Fawn, Georgia on December 5 and 6, 2026. All distances start and finish at Cloudland Canyon State Park at 122 Cloudland Canyon Park Road. The program includes multiple distances with published cutoff times and elevation figures.

Cutoff times are published for each distance: roughly 15.5 hours for the 50 mile, 11 hours for the 50K, 5.5 hours for the 25K, and 1.5 hours for the 5 mile. Elevation gain figures reported for the courses fall in these ranges: the 50 mile from about 6,500 to 7,500 feet, the 50K about 4,500 feet, the 25K about 2,200 to 2,900 feet, and the 5 mile about 500 to 800 feet.

Course formats include loop and lollipop configurations. The 50K follows a main loop with an additional lollipop section; the 50 mile uses the 50K course with another lollipop added. Runners will descend to the bottom of the canyon and climb back up on the longer courses. Terrain includes rolling hills with some 200 to 500 foot climbs, waterfalls, and open valley views.

All entrants receive a pint glass and a beanie or hat; 50 mile, 50K, and 25K finishers receive a medal. To guarantee swag and medals, registration must be completed by November 1. The organizer offers a refund credit policy outside 90 days and no refunds within 90 days. The event contributes funds to Cloudland Canyon State Park / Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park.
