Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race
The Chattanooga Mountains Stage Race is a three day trail running event in the mountains around Chattanooga, Tennessee. The event covers approximately 60 miles across varied singletrack and point to point terrain, featuring routes on Lookout Mountain, the Cumberland Trail and Signal Mountain.
Stage distances include:
- 22 miles Lula Lake on Lookout Mountain
- 18 miles Cumberland Trail along North Chattanooga Creek
- 20 miles Signal Mountain loop
The race is run with strict time cut-offs and a pace expectation. Participants should be able to hold roughly a 15 minutes per mile pace for extended distances. Official cut-offs are listed as Day 1 20 miles - 5.5 hours, Day 2 18 miles - 5 hours, and Day 3 22 miles - 6 hours.
Entry fees are linked to Wild Trails membership benefits. Membership at any level provides a 10% discount to races, and Trail Steward level membership provides free entry into three races with specified exceptions.
Race proceeds benefit Wild Trails, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on the use, protection and expansion of nature trails in the greater Chattanooga area.
