Clinton Lake Ultra - March 27, 2027

The Clinton Lake Ultra is a trail running event in DeWitt, Illinois at Clinton Lake State Recreation Area. The event offers these distances:

  • 30 Miler
  • 10 Mile

The 30 mile option consists of three 10 mile loops on trails that pass through forest, hills, and meadows. The route is almost entirely single-track except for a short road and bridge section that connects two sides of the loop. Each loop has about 1500 feet of elevation gain. Two fully stocked aid stations are available on each loop. This event uses no chip timing.

There is a mandatory volunteer requirement; participants must complete volunteer service or trail work, generally a minimum of four hours, and submit a form before the event. The race operates a sweep and enforces time limits; runners must remain ahead of the sweep.

Registration opens November 11, 2026. The shirt ordering deadline is March 1, 2027; registration after that date does not guarantee a race sweatshirt. The event is part of the 50K MashUp and 50K MashUp participants receive special recognition at packet pickup. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers, and all participants receive a long-sleeved CLINTON item and a finisher item.

Rules include no disposable cups at aid stations, no pacers, and no early starts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
