Christmas Canter

Christmas Canter is a December running event organised by Zig Zag Running at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event uses the Hargrave Half course, with Mount Barrow used for the 5k and 10k routes.

Distances offered:

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • Half marathon
  • Full marathon
  • Ultra marathon

Runners covering distances under a half marathon follow an out and back route and are turned around at the designated turnaround point. The half marathon is a single loop, the full marathon is two loops, and the ultra continues to the 5k turnaround point. There is a seven hour cut off for the event.

Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10k. The Race HQ and base camp are located at the start and lap point and include a water and aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. The event operates cupless so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.

Entrants receive an email confirmation that includes a link to the race briefing information pack. A bespoke event medal is provided at the finish; a lucky dip finisher option may be available offering a selection of previous or finisher medals. Fancy dress is permitted but not compulsory.
