Christmas Canter takes place on 20 December 2025 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running and has a seven-hour cut off. It uses a mass start format. Entrants must be at least 18 years old on the event date. Entry prices range from about £23.00 to £37.50.

Those running distances under a half marathon follow an out-and-back route and will be turned around at the turnaround point. The half marathon is one loop, the full marathon is two loops, and the ultra runs to the 5k turnaround point.

Course and facilities

The route is entirely on road and uses the Windmill Way, with Golding Hills for the 5k and 10k. The course passes through Higham, Gazeley, Ashley, Dalham and Denham. The route has rolling hills and around 600 ft of elevation. Aid stations with drinks and nibbles are provided approximately every 10k. Race HQ or base camp is located at the start and lap point and includes a water/aid station. Parking is included in the entry price. A winter trail 10 km through medieval Lavenham along an old railway, mixing footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads. Manual timing, finisher medals and podium trophies; minimum age 16 and a 90 minute cut-off.
