Sapiston 10K Trail Run
The Sapiston 10K Trail Run takes place on Sunday 18 October 2026 at Honington & Sapiston Village Hall, Suffolk (IP31 1RU). The route is a loop around Sapiston and Honington in the Black Bourn Valley and uses a mix of road and off road footpaths and byways.
The course is undulating and mixed terrain, including sand, stones, grass, tarmac, woodland tracks and fields. It crosses a few mostly minor roads and includes several gates that must be closed behind runners. Depending on weather, some sections may be muddy or have puddles. The race is chip timed and there is no cut off time.
Volunteer marshals will be positioned at checkpoints and a water station is provided about halfway round. A tail runner or walker follows the field to help ensure everyone returns safely. The event is not considered suitable for runners under 16, for running buggies, or for participants with dogs. Headphones are allowed but should be removed on on-road sections.
Facilities at the Village Hall include free hot and cold drinks, bag drop and toilets. All finishers receive bespoke medals. There is car parking near the hall and organisers ask participants to car share where possible to reduce disturbance to local residents. The ticket price including booking fee is £19.53. The event is organised in partnership with the Brecks Landscape Partnership Scheme and Suffolk County Council's Rights of Way and Access Team.
