Chisholm Trail Trot 5K - Clearwater, KS

The Chisholm Trail Trot 5K takes place in Clearwater, Kansas, on October 17, 2026, at 140 Fourth Ave. The event uses a grass cross-country course, and portions of the route cross the historic Chisholm Trail. A kids fun run called the Tots Trot is held alongside the main 5K.

Parking is available in the Clearwater Middle School parking lot. The starting line is located just east of the football field; a black arch marks the start and a red arch marks the finish. Packet pickup is held on race morning at a tent near the finish area just south of the middle school parking lot.

After the race, water, fruit and donuts will be available for participants. Cash prizes are offered for top three placers in the male and women divisions for ages 18 and above, and for top three placers ages 17 and below. Prize amounts are listed for first through third place. The event is planned to be chip timed, pending confirmation of timing services. The standard registration fee is $20.00. A timed track ultrarunning event at Rose Hill District Stadium on June 12 and 13 2026 offering 6 hour 12 hour and 24 hour events on a USATF certified 400 meter track with live chip timing and a central aid station.

The Honey Badger 100 is a 100 mile ultramarathon starting and finishing at Cheney State Park near Wichita, KS. It has a 36 hour limit, an 18 hour cutoff around 53.35 miles, and requires runners to provide a crew and vehicle.

A Backyard Ultra at Sedgwick County Park with a 4.167 mile loop repeated each hour until one runner remains. One hundred dollars from every registration supports Family Promise of Greater Wichita.

A 5K mud and obstacle run at Bar 2 Bar MX near Wichita on April 10, 2027, with adult and KIDZ family waves. Waivers and photo ID are required; spectators pay a $10 cash fee for festival area access.
