Chisholm Trail Trot 5K - Clearwater, KS

The Chisholm Trail Trot 5K takes place in Clearwater, Kansas, on October 17, 2026, at 140 Fourth Ave. The event uses a grass cross-country course, and portions of the route cross the historic Chisholm Trail. A kids fun run called the Tots Trot is held alongside the main 5K.

Parking is available in the Clearwater Middle School parking lot. The starting line is located just east of the football field; a black arch marks the start and a red arch marks the finish. Packet pickup is held on race morning at a tent near the finish area just south of the middle school parking lot.

After the race, water, fruit and donuts will be available for participants. Cash prizes are offered for top three placers in the male and women divisions for ages 18 and above, and for top three placers ages 17 and below. Prize amounts are listed for first through third place. The event is planned to be chip timed, pending confirmation of timing services. The standard registration fee is $20.00.
