Chewacla Cha Cha

Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail race held on September 13, 2026 at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. The event is organized by Southern Singletrack Trail Series and benefits Valley Rescue Mission. It is part of the Southern Singletrack race series.

The course runs on wooded singletrack trails with gentle elevation changes. Two race options are offered:

• 5K - one scenic loop
• 10K - two loops

Races start in staggered waves to manage field flow and safety. There is one on-course aid station and one finish-line station. Stations will provide water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks such as pretzels, chips, fruit chews, and candy. Participants are advised to carry their own water and organizers reserve the right to remove runners showing signs of dehydration or distress.

Registration fees listed in event materials are $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K, increasing to $70 and $80 respectively after August 22, 2026. A guaranteed T-shirt size cutoff is August 31, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed. An entrance day use fee of $4 per person is payable at the park gate and is not included in registration.
