The Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail race held on September 13, 2026 at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. The event benefits Valley Rescue Mission and uses the park singletrack trails for its course.
The course runs on wooded singletrack with rolling terrain and gentle elevation changes. Runners follow one loop for the shorter distance or repeat the loop for the longer distance. Starts are organized in staggered waves to manage the field.
Race distances
- 5K: One scenic loop
- 10K: Two loops
Registration fees change after August 22, 2026. Early fees are $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K. After August 22 fees increase to $70 for the 5K and $80 for the 10K. Registration closes on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Guaranteed T shirt size cutoff is August 31, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners in each distance. There is one on course aid station and one finish line station offering water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks. Participants are asked to bring a personal water bottle. The park charges a $4 day use fee per person payable at the gate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
