Chewacla Cha Cha Trail Race - Chewacla State Park

This trail race is held at Chewacla State Park, 1245 Shell Toomer Parkway, Auburn, AL, and benefits Valley Rescue Mission. The course runs on rolling, wooded singletrack with gentle elevation changes.

Race distances:

  • 5K - One scenic loop
  • 10K - Two loops

Both races use staggered waves to manage the start. There is one on-course aid station and one at the finish line offering water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks such as pretzels, chips, fruit chews, and candy. Runners are advised to bring a personal water bottle; organizers may remove participants showing signs of dehydration or distress.

Entry fees are listed as $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K, with higher rates after August 22, 2026 ($70 for 5K, $80 for 10K). The guaranteed T-shirt size cutoff is August 31, 2026. Each registered participant receives a race shirt and a finisher award. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.
