Chewacla Cha Cha

Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail race held on September 13, 2026 at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama. It is the third race in the Southern Singletrack series and benefits Valley Rescue Mission.

The event offers two distances:

• 5K - one scenic loop
• 10K - two loops

The course follows wooded singletrack trails with rolling terrain and gentle elevation changes. Runners start in staggered waves to manage the flow on narrow trails. There is one on-course aid station and one station at the finish line. Stations will provide water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks. Participants are advised to bring their own water bottle; organizers may remove runners showing signs of dehydration or distress.

Registration fees vary by date: earlier pricing is $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K, increasing after August 22, 2026 to $70 and $80 respectively. Guaranteed race shirt size requires registration by August 31, 2026. Registration closes September 9, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed. A $4 park day use fee per person is payable at the park gate and is not included in registration. Limited race-day registration may be available.
