Chewacla Cha Cha Trail Race : September 13, 2026

The Chewacla Cha Cha Trail Race takes place at Chewacla State Park, 1245 Shell Toomer Parkway, Auburn, AL. The event is the third race in the Southern Singletrack series and benefits Valley Rescue Mission. The course runs on wooded singletrack trails with rolling terrain and gentle elevation changes.

Race format and logistics

Distances:

  • 5K : one loop
  • 10K : two loops

Runners start in staggered waves. There is one on-course aid station and one finish-line station offering water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks (pretzels, chips, fruit chews, candy). Participants are advised to bring a water bottle; organizers may remove runners from the course for signs of dehydration or distress. Awards are given to overall male and female winners for each distance.

Registration costs listed are $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K, increasing after August 22, 2026 to $70 and $80 respectively. Guaranteed T-shirt size cutoff is August 31, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed. Registration closes September 9, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. A $4 park day use fee per person is payable at the park gate.
