The Chewacla Cha Cha is a trail race taking place at Chewacla State Park in Auburn, Alabama, on September 13, 2026. It is the third race in the Southern Singletrack series and benefits the Valley Rescue Mission.

Race Distances

The event features two distances:

  • A 5K race consisting of one loop.
  • A 10K race consisting of two loops.

Both races will start in staggered waves. The course is on rolling, wooded singletrack trails within the state park.

Registration and Logistics

Registration costs are $55 for the 5K and $65 for the 10K, with prices increasing after August 22, 2026. Registration closes on September 9, 2026. A guaranteed race t-shirt size requires registration by August 31, 2026. No transfers, refunds, or deferments are allowed.

An entrance fee of $4.00 per person is required for park entry and is not included in the registration cost. Carpooling is encouraged.

Participant Perks and Awards

Each runner receives a race shirt and a finisher award. Overall male and female winners will be recognized for each race distance.

Aid Stations

There will be one on-course aid station and one at the finish line, providing water, CeraSport, and individually wrapped snacks like pretzels, chips, fruit chews, and candy.
