Carn Ingli Killer
Carn Ingli Killer is a short fell race that follows a partially marked route. The course distance is 5.54 km (about 3.4 mi) with total ascent of 315 m (about 1033 ft). Navigational skills and significant fell-running experience are required.
The event sets minimum entry at over 16 years old. Juniors may take part provided they run accompanied by a parent or guardian. The race is insured by the Welsh Fell Runners Association.
Registration is located opposite Long Street car park, postcode SA42 0TJ. The start is on top of Market Street in Newport. Entry on the night is priced at £3.
Course records are listed as 28:02 for the male category and 32:22 for the female category, both recorded in 2018. The route is only partially waymarked, so participants should be prepared to navigate between markers and manage their own safety on terrain typical of fell running.
