Broad River Half Marathon

Event overview

The Broad River Half Marathon is a trail half marathon held on November 21, 2026, at Harbison State Forest in Columbia, SC (5600 Broad River Road). Registration for the half marathon is listed at $30 with a stated price increase after April 30, 2026. Race-day registration is available. Packet pickup is on race morning at the gazebo near the start/finish and is restricted to the registered participant only. Registration includes entry into Harbison State Forest park; a separate parking fee is required when entering the park.

Course and race logistics

The course uses Harbison State Forest trails and includes pine and hardwood sections, creek crossings, and varied elevation on well-marked singletrack and doubletrack. The event is a cupless race, so participants should bring their own hydration flask or cup. There are three aid stations on the half marathon course (Mile 4.8; Mile 11; Start/Finish) offering snacks (pickles, cookies, chips, fig newtons, assorted candy, pretzels) and drinks (water, Coke, ginger ale). Drop bags may be left inside the gazebo. Portable toilets are available at the start/finish area; there are no porta-potties on the course. Dogs are allowed on the course. A 10-hour time limit applies.

Awards and on-site amenities

All finishers receive a finisher medal. Top three overall male and female finishers receive trophies. Age group awards for first through third place are provided across multiple age categories. The event offers a post-race meal with vegetarian options, event-themed giveaways, a custom race bib and temporary race tattoo, samples from a hydration sponsor, music, and a post-race gathering.
