The Breakthrough Trail 5K is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Petersburg, VA. The event is a 5 km run/walk held at Pamplin Historical Park - Hart Farm, 6915 Duncan Road. The listed entry fee is $30 and the fee increases after October 10, 2025. Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available. All Covid-19 guidelines or restrictions in place at the time of the race will be implemented.

Course and awards

The course starts and ends at the Hart Farm and runs on historic Civil War battlefield trails. The surface is a mixture of uneven gravel and dirt trails. No strollers or children in carriers of any type are permitted on the race course. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers overall and in each age category: Youth 12 and under; 13-17; Adults 18-29; 30-50; 51 and over.
