Bowland Trail Half 2026 takes place on Saturday 10 January 2026 at Slaidburn Village Hall, Slaidburn, Clitheroe (BB7 3ES). The event is organised by Bowland Ultra. Course and race information

The route starts and finishes at Slaidburn and is described as roughly 13 miles (approx) with 2,000 ft ascent. The course is unmarked; runners follow a written route description and are provided with a map. Terrain includes shooting tracks, vehicle tracks, flowing trails, techy singletrack, road and sections of bog. Marshals will be positioned at key points but not at every junction. A GPX route file is available on the race website and will be sent in the final race email. There is a mandatory kit list for safety and a mandatory race briefing in the village hall. Tackle the Litton Birks Fell Race on 15 November 2025, a punchy 5 km fell course near Skipton with a new route and plenty of climb. Junior races and prize giving at the Queens Arms make for a friendly autumn running day.

Take on the Tour of Pendle, a 27 km fell race over Pendle Hill with 1473 m of climb and spectacular moorland views. FRA AL licensed, it demands navigation skills and mandatory kit, so it suits experienced runners.

Take on the new Litton Birks fell race in the York Dales, a punchy 5 km with 362 m of climb and rewarding upland views. Pre entry and day entries available and junior races make this a great event for families and club runners.

Run the Arnside Knott Race on Sunday 16 November 2025: a scenic 6 mile fell run above Morecambe Bay and the Kent Estuary with about 1093 ft of ascent. Expect varied underfoot terrain and crisp autumn conditions for a true challenge.
