About the race
A trail race of 5 km held on a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The event is the third race in a three-race autumn series taking place on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026. It is open to participants aged 11 and over. The course is described as fast and flat with about 25 m of elevation across the 5 km distance.
The route consists of two laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir, run anticlockwise from the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The series is marshalled and offers prizes in each race. Organisers note parking at the lower car park by the sailing club and at Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir.
Entry information provided for the series includes an entry fee of £6.50 and entry windows from 21 March 2026 (entries open) until 16 September 2026 (entries close). Entry is handled through SiEntries and requires a competitor account. Proceeds from the series are stated to be donated to local causes. The event is listed as licensed under ARC pending.
