Bronte Way Fell Race
The Bronte Way Fell Race is a traditional point to point fell race with registration at the Aisled Barn in Wycoller, BB8 8SY, and a finish outside the Fleece Inn on Haworth Main Street. Registration takes place at the barn; participants should note there is building work at the barn this year and scaffolding may be present.
The course distance is 12 km (7.5 miles) with 351 m of climb. Ponden Water (4.6 miles) is a checkpoint on the route; runners who do not reach this checkpoint within the event cutoff will be asked to cease running and arrangements will be made to collect them.
Entry rules and fees are published for the event. Minimum age on the day is 18. There is no entry on the day; entries close on 20 October and substitutions must be completed by editing the race entry on the event entry system before that date. Number swaps are not permitted after entries close and no refunds are available.
Two shuttle buses will run relays from opposite Haworth Primary School to Atom Panopticon to assist with getting to registration; bus spaces are limited and allocated first come first served. A vehicle will be available at the finish for bag drop. Prize giving and spot prizes are planned after the finish, and soup will be available for finishers.
This is a British Mountain (BM) race in late October and FRA mandatory kit is required. There is no formal kit check but participants without required kit may be sanctioned. Cameras are likely to be in use on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
