Bootstrap Boogie Trail Race

Event overview

The Bootstrap Boogie is a trail race held at Irving Nature Park in Saint John, New Brunswick on November 1, 2025. The event offers the following distances:

• 17 km

Registration opens on September 5, 2025 and online registration closes on October 24, 2025. Early bird pricing ends October 6, 2025. Registration fees include the Race Roster fee and a CA$5 donation to a local charity; the fee also covers a swag bag and access to an aid station. No deferrals or refunds are available; transfers between participants or distances are permitted until October 24, 2025. Swag is not guaranteed for registrations after October 3, 2025. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.

Course and logistics

Both courses start and finish at the Sheldon Point Trail parking lot/field. Routes use primarily single-track trails and include beach running and dirt road sections. The 17 km course adds a Coastal Loop around the park that includes boardwalk sections and the Frog Trail. The 9 km course has one aid station located at about 4.5 km. The 17 km course provides access to the aid station at roughly 4.5 km and again at about 12.5 km. Irving Nature Park is a 600-acre site with approximately 11 km of coastline, a 300 m boardwalk onto a marsh, and eight hiking trails through coastal ecosystems.
