Event Overview

The Summer Sizzler is a multi-distance running event held at Gadsden Park in Tampa, Florida. This event provides several options for participants of different ages and abilities, ranging from short dashes to longer endurance runs. High-resolution photos are provided to all participants at no additional cost.

Distances and Timing

Participants can choose from the following event categories:

• 15K: A chip-timed road race with live results and awards.
• 10K: A chip-timed 6.2 mile race featuring youth-based pricing for runners 12 and under.
• 5K: A chip-timed competitive run with live results and youth discounts.
• 1 Mile: An untimed run suitable for those preferring a shorter distance.
• Kids Dash: A specialized, untimed event for children ages 10 and under.

The 5K, 10K, and 15K courses utilize chip-timing technology to provide immediate feedback on performance. Special pricing tiers are available for groups; teams that reach a membership of four or ten people receive partial refunds.

Participant Amenities

All registered participants in the timed and untimed distances receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Specialized medals are provided for the Kids Dash. The finish line area features various refreshments, including treats and Kona Ice. Those unable to attend the physical location in Tampa can participate in a virtual race option, which includes a digital bib and mailed hardware.
