Summer Sizzler - Orlando
The Summer Sizzler is an annual running event held in Orlando, Florida. This event offers a variety of distances to accommodate different preferences, including several timed and untimed options. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 15k
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile
- Kids Dash (available for ages 10 and under)
The 5k, 10k, and 15k events are chip-timed and include live results and awards. The 1 Mile event and the Kids Dash are untimed formats. For the Kids Dash, children have the option to participate for free if they do not require the commemorative items such as the medal and shirt. Youth-based pricing is available for participants aged 12 and under in the 5k and 10k categories.
Participants receive several items as part of their registration, including a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To ensure a shirt is available in the desired size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before the race day. Photography is provided free of charge during the event. At the conclusion of the race, treats and Kona Ice are available for participants.
A virtual race option is also provided for those unable to attend in person. This allows participants to run at a location of their choice and receive the event shirt and medal by mail after the race date.
