Black Lung Ultra Marathon

The third annual Black Lung Ultra Marathon takes place on September 12, 2026. The event is held in Nordegg, Alberta, a former mining town located at the entrance to the David Thompson corridor in the Rocky Mountains.

It is an ultramarathon with a distance of 62 km. The course, described as rugged, consists of three stages. The event's name references the historical perils of working in coal mines.
