Bigfoot Endurance 5 & 10 Mile Trail Race

The event on March 1, 2026 takes place at Rockburn Branch Park in Elkridge, MD, and offers three race options:

  • 5 Miler
  • 10 Miler
  • 10 Miler relay team of 2 people

The course runs inside Rockburn Branch Park, starting and finishing on the gravel path between the playground and the pavilion. The surface is packed gravel and natural trail with a short paved section. The 5 Miler is one loop and the 10 Miler is two loops of the same course. There are no water stations on the 5 mile loop; one water station is located at mile 5.1, the start of the second loop. Porta-potties are available at the start/finish; there are no bathrooms on the course.

Age minimums are stated for each event: 5 Miler minimum age 7, 10 Miler minimum age 14, and relay minimum age 7. Registration includes a long sleeve shirt and a finisher medal; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by February 8. Wave starts are used and assigned by average pace per mile. All runners must reach mile 5 within 1 hour and 40 minutes to continue on the 10 Miler second loop.

A portion of race proceeds benefits Bigfoot Endurance, a nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for Parkinson’s research. A Ribbon Trail section allows participants and supporters to add in honor or in memory messages along part of the course. Awards are presented in overall and age group categories and must be accepted in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
