Big Dog's Backyard Ultra

Big Dog's Backyard Ultra takes place in Bell Buckle, TN at the Big Farm-Short Creek as part of the World Backyard Ultra Team Championships on October 17, 2026. The event follows the backyard ultra Last Man Standing format and is one of multiple sites involved in the team championships.

Entry to this event is limited to athletes who qualify. Qualified athletes are those who win silver ticket events or who place among the top at large performers in their nation over the previous two years. The United States team will include the top 15 qualified American athletes who are citizens or permanent residents.

The qualifying period ends on August 15, 2026. Results are to be submitted and entered within a week after that date, at which point the at large list will be finalized and qualified athletes will be accepted. All athletes who have qualified by winning a silver ticket will be accepted at that time. Organizers will confirm intentions of qualified athletes who have not applied so that alternates can be offered places. As the qualifying window closes, additional at large athletes may be accepted if they have accumulated enough hours to be unlikely to lose a qualifying position; applications from athletes who have equaled or exceeded 100 hours may be considered.

Registration for the event closes on September 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
