World Backyard Ultra Team Championships

The Big Dog's Backyard Ultra serves as the World Backyard Ultra Team Championships. This event takes place at the Big Farm-Short Creek in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. The competition follows a Last Man Standing format where athletes from around the world convene to compete in national teams.

Participants in this event must qualify through specific criteria. Entry is reserved for runners who have won silver ticket events or positioned themselves among the top At-Large performers in their respective nations over a two-year period. The American team consists of the top 15 qualified athletes who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

The qualification period for this championship concludes on August 15, 2026. Results from various qualifying events held globally are compiled to finalize the At-Large list. Athletes who have achieved a performance of 100 hours or more may be eligible for early acceptance if their standing ensures they cannot be displaced from the qualifying field. If a qualified athlete chooses not to participate, the position is offered to the next alternate in line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
