Bell Ringer 5 Hour
The event takes place on September 19, 2026 near Morden, MB at the Shannondale Ski Area north of Thornhill. It is a five hour run/hike during which participants try to complete as many laps as they can on a roughly 4 to 5 km single track loop.
The course surface is mostly dirt and grass with some rocks and several close switchbacks. Each lap contains about 100 meters of elevation gain. Officials record lap starts and finishes at the same location; the course is marked with arrows, tape, and flags.
A two person relay option is offered in addition to individual entries. The event is held on private land and participants are asked to treat it respectfully. The site is on Treaty 1 territory historically used by Cree, Dakota, Ojibay, Cree-Ojibway and Dene peoples.
Registered participants who complete payment by August 20, 2026 will receive a t-shirt or other swag. On-site provisions include portable toilets, tents and shelters, endurance snacks and drinks (gummies, honey stinger type items, chips, donuts, Tailwind, Nuun, water), a cupless event setup, and a first aid responder. Proceeds support the Boundary Trails Nordic Junior Development team to offset out of province travel costs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
