Beast of The East Half Marathon

Beast of the East Trail Half Marathon & 10k

Beast of the East is a trail running event on Jersey’s north coast that offers a half marathon and a 10k over mainly off-road terrain. The event is scheduled for 25 October 2026 and uses coastal cliff paths, woodland sections and exposed coastal running, with both races finishing at Devil’s Hole. Starts are at St Catherine’s Woods for the half and Bouley Bay for the 10k.

• Half Marathon (approx. 2,700 ft elevation)
• 10k (approx. 1,600 ft elevation)

Both routes are roughly 95% trail and include technical sections, steep climbs and fast descents. The half marathon is routed through St Catherine’s Woods, Rozel and the North Coast cliff paths; the 10k follows classic northern coastal sections such as Wolf’s Lair and Bonne Nuit Bay. Course marking is by arrows and barrier tape. Entry limits are 100 for the half and 50 for the 10k; fees listed are £43 for the half and £33 for the 10k. Entry includes a race number, finisher T-shirt, medal, water stops, chip timing and finish refreshments.

Mandatory kit is required and may be checked; it includes trail shoes, warm top, foil blanket, rain jacket if needed, at least 1 litre of water, a reusable cup, sufficient food, a charged phone and the What3words app. Rules state no shortcuts, no pacers or external crewing, and self-sufficiency between checkpoints.
