Beast of the East Trail Half Marathon & 10k
The event is scheduled for Sunday 26 October 2025 in Jersey. Both races finish at Devil’s Hole. Distances:
- Half - 13.1 miles
- 10k
The courses are almost entirely off-road - about 95% trail. Elevation gain is listed as approximately 2,700 ft for the half and 1,600 ft for the 10k. Entry fees are stated as £43 for the half and £33 for the 10k. Entry limits are 100 for the half and 50 for the 10k. The course is marked with arrows and barrier tape.
Course details, kit and rules
The half starts at St Catherine’s Woods and follows woodland and the northern coastal path, including North Coast cliff paths and technical sections. The 10k starts at Bouley Bay, follows the northern coastal path and passes sections named Wolf’s Lair, Les Platons and Bonne Nuit Bay. Both routes include steep climbs and descents.
Entries include a race number, finisher’s T-shirt, medal, water stops, event organisation, results, and drinks and snacks at the finish. Mandatory kit includes trail shoes, warm top layer, foil blanket, rain jacket if needed, at least 1 litre of water, a reusable cup for checkpoints, and sufficient food between checkpoints; random kit checks may occur and missing items can lead to penalties or disqualification. Checkpoints provide water, coke and sweets. Supportive cut-offs apply and participants may be asked to retire if guidance windows are not met.
