Round the Rock
Saint Helier, Jersey • 1 Aug 2026
Round the Rock is a set of trail events around Jersey offering three distances: Ultra, Marathon and Half Marathon. The event uses coastal and inland trails and is run largely anti-clockwise with the sea kept on the right. The course is marked at junctions and decision points only; long straight sections may have no markers, so runners are required to carry the GPX route on a watch or phone. Aid stations are positioned roughly every 8–10 miles.
CP1 provides water only. The event is cupless; participants must carry a reusable cup or drinking system and sufficient food between checkpoints. Drop bags are available: Ultra runners may leave an optional bag to be collected at the halfway checkpoint; Marathon and Half runners may leave a small bag to be taken to the finish.
Drop bags have size and weight limits. Mandatory kit applies to all distances and may be checked before the start. Required items include a way to carry kit, warm layer, hat or buffs, whistle, compass, adequate trail shoes, survival blanket, small first-aid items, a charged phone with navigation, and a minimum drinking capacity. The event enforces self-sufficiency rules: no pacers, no crewing or outside assistance, no unofficial entrants, visible bibs, no littering, and a minimum age of 18.
Entry is hard capped - the Ultra is limited to 150 places (sold out this year) and the Marathon and Half are limited to 50 places each; a waitlist operates when a distance fills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
