Round the Rock
Saint Helier, Jersey • 1 Aug 2026
Event overview
Round The Rock is an island race weekend on Jersey with three distance options:
- Ultra
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
The Ultra is a multi-segment, point-to-point route on roads and trails that uses several checkpoint aid stations. The Marathon joins the Ultra route partway through and the Half Marathon follows a shorter section of the same course.
Course, navigation and cut-offs
The course is marked at junctions and decision points only; long straight sections may have no markers. Organisers provide GPX route files for each distance and recommend loading them to a GPS device or phone. The Ultra has an overall 12-hour time limit and a mandatory halfway cut-off at Les Fontaines; runners who miss cut-offs are withdrawn. Marathon and Half have no intermediate cut-offs, but finishers must meet the event time limits to receive official results and medals.
Aid, logistics and rules
Aid stations are spaced roughly every 8–10 miles and provide water, selected drinks, and basic food. The event is cupless so participants must carry a reusable cup or bottle. The race is solo only: no pacers, no crewing and no outside assistance. A mandatory kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may occur. Penalties include disqualification or bans for rule breaches such as littering, outside assistance, or failing to carry required kit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
