The Bear Trap Trail Races are a trail running event held in Settlement Canyon, Tooele County. The event features three distance options that use combinations of three distinct loops through forested singletrack, dirt roads, exposed bench trails, ridgeline, and foothills above Settlement Canyon Reservoir. The courses offer views of Tooele Valley and the surrounding Oquirrh and Stansbury Mountain ranges.

- Marathon approximately 26.5 miles, about 8,000 ft vertical
- 23K approximately 14.8 miles, about 3,500 ft vertical
- 10K approximately 6.2 miles, about 1,800 ft vertical
Course layout
- Loop A: ~6.20 miles, ~1,800 ft vert; 87% single-track; includes Ridge Trail, Bottom/Muddy Trail, Left Hand Fork Trail. Purple markings.
- Loop B: ~8.6 miles, ~1,700 ft vert; 78% single-track; includes Dark Trail, Old Kennecott Road, Bench Trail, Left Hand Fork Trail. Blue markings.
- Loop C: ~8.2 miles, ~1,600 ft vert; mix of double-track and dirt roads; includes Skyline Ridge and foothill ATV trails. Red markings.

- The Marathon uses Loops A, B, and C plus a 3.5 mile out-and-back to Tooele Peak from Bear Trap Pass.
- There are no on-course aid stations except at the Start/Finish Area; aid occurs at return to the Start/Finish at the listed loop miles.
- Hard cutoffs are given as total-hours to complete each distance.
- The event is USATF sanctioned. Organizers provide modest awards to the top three men and women in each distance.
